November 2012 |
One of the essentials of life is food. I like to talk about spiritual food a lot; but the truth is, we must have physical food as well.
And why not make it as enjoyable as possible?
Good food is the Father's idea:
"Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." Psalm 103:5 NKJV
I thought it would be fun to list 5 of my favorite meals I serve my picky family. I'm thankful to have run across these meals or I don't know what I'd have done!
1. My favorite meal to make is broiled bbq chicken thighs. I could eat them once a week. My recipe is here.
2. Another meal everyone in my family will eat is BBQ sandwiches made from pork steaks cooked in my crockpot. You can find this recipe in the middle of this Friday's Fave Five post, here.
3. My favorite dessert is brownies. Here is my recipe that is quick and easy and served me well for over 30 years, Jerri's Brownies.
4. Almost everyone in my family likes chili. I love chili and I'm happy to serve it as often as I can in the fall and winter months. If you'd like to try my recipe, you can find it at my post, Chili Season.
5. Tacos are a hit with my family every time. It's my favorite for not only the taste but so easy to prep. Thank you, Lord for tacos.
What's your favorite?
Today is day 11 of November and I have determined I will give Him praise for 5 blessings each day of the month. 5 blessings a day X 30 days = 150 praises.
You might think coming up with 150 blessings in the month of November is a tall order, but I guarantee you can come up with that many.
Remember, whether big or small, praise Him for them all.
I'd be thrilled if you would like to share in the comments your 5 praises, or a link to your post giving God praise.
He is worthy!
