Our lives consist of the sum total of every decision we have made. For example, I made a decision to have a long distance relationship with a man who lived in Illinois. That one decision ended up making me a resident of Illinois when we got married. (That particular decision influenced many other things as well.)
What I hope to do in my little series of 28 days of writing in 2021 is to influence us to make good decisions on what we want this year to look like.
We've learned from last year we have no control on what comes our way; but we can control where we want our focus.
If the summation of my life's work could be one phrase, what would it be? I think if people said, "She pointed others to Jesus," I could breathe a deep sigh of contentment.
How am I to do that? So far, I don't feel it's in me to be a voice proclaiming on street corners words such as "Repent now. The end is near."
But you never know what the Holy Spirit might have me do.
For now, all I know to do is use the very small platform I have with my readers and in my local church encouraging them to get into the Word.
I'm pretty safe in doing that because there is a great promise when I repeat His words, they won't return void.
It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
Isaiah 55:11
I'm just the messenger. But I'm responsible to share the message.
What about you? What decisions will you make for the coming year? Your life in the future depends on what choices you make today.
Welcome to Day 4 of the #Write28Days challenge. During the month of February, I'll be examining what my world looks like after 2020. I feel we are ever closer to the Lord's return. What would it look like if I lived everyday with that thought in mind?
This could be my last February 4th before He comes.
The truth is, it IS the last February 4th for some, because He comes back every day for somebody.
It could be me. It could be you. It could be every believer.
My prayer is to leave an impact. What about you?
So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! Stay alert and fix your hope firmly on the marvelous grace that is coming to you. For when Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you. 1 Peter 1:13 TPT

I'm sharing this post at #TuneInThursday
We were challenged to pick one person in our influence who is not a believer to pray for every day this year and find opportunities to share the Gospel with. I suppose the best long lasting impact on the world we can make is to make disciples.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thought. I totally want this year to count for Christ. I'm going to spend time thinking about what decisions I can make to affect this year and be more fruitful. I'm not very introspective so this is a good practice for me. Thanks you!
