Creativity

Our Father is the epitome of creativity. You need go no farther than to look at the glories of the skies to know He is creative. Every sunset, every sunrise shows a different side to Him.

Look at the splendor of your skies,
your creative genius glowing in the heavens.
When I gaze at your moon and your stars,
mounted like jewels in their settings,
I know you are the fascinating artist who fashioned it all!
But when I look up and see
such wonder and workmanship above,
I have to ask you this question:
Compared to all this cosmic glory,
why would you bother with puny, mortal man
or be infatuated with Adam’s sons?
Psalm 8:3-4 TPT
Why indeed? Yet, love us He does!

Even greater than His painting of the heavens is the creating He does fashioning living human image-bearers.

Yet still, Yahweh, you are our Father.
We are like clay and you are our Potter.
Each one of us is the creative, artistic work of your hands.
Isaiah 64:8 TPT

Many may not know it; but without Him, each would not exist.
And through his creative inspiration
this Living Expression made all things,
for nothing has existence apart from him!
John 1:3 TPT

Since God is so creative; and we as believers are encouraged to strive to be like Jesus and like our Heavenly Father, it stands to reason we each have a spark of creativity in us.

It's true all of us may not be able to practice the creative arts such as music, painting and writing; but we each have at least one creative talent. Maybe yours is the ability to manage a household on a budget, or feed your family delicious meals working magic with just a few key ingredients, or maybe even the uncanny ability to fix something broken when no one else can. Maybe you have the talent of speaking the perfect word when someone needs it. Maybe your hugs are just the medicine some soul-sick person needs.

Whatever it is, put your talent to work this year. Never before have so many been so needy in this crazy world.

You're here for such a time as this.

Imitate your Father:

Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love.
Hebrews 10:24 TPT

Welcome to Day 14 of the #Write28Days challenge. During the month of February, I'll be examining what my world looks like after 2020. I feel we are ever closer to the Lord's return. What would it look like if I lived everyday with that thought in mind?

This could be my last February 14th before He comes.

The truth is, it IS the last February 14th for some, because He comes back every day for somebody.

It could be me. It could be you. It could be every believer.

My prayer is to leave an impact. What about you?

So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! Stay alert and fix your hope firmly on the marvelous grace that is coming to you. For when Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you. 1 Peter 1:13 TPT
