Last year about this time, I was thinking about how great it would be to hibernate holed up in my haven like a hermit. Turns out, it wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. COVID taught me some lessons.
Don't hibernate, shelter in the Stronghold. Hibernation speaks of sleep and of inactivity. Sheltering in the presence of God speaks of being a Mary, sitting at the feet of Jesus and finding spiritual food to feed upon.
You can read more in my post, Hibernate.
What interests me now about this post was my reference to being a Mary. The story of the two sisters, Martha and Mary, continues to challenge and motivate me. I'm such a Martha, but long to be a Mary! (Read more in Living Mary in a Martha World.)
What about you? Do you have trouble finding time to sit at the feet of Jesus?
I still do. This year, I'm focusing on clearing out clutter, both physical and mental, in my series, A Rich and Satisfying Life, found at Jerralea.com. My prayer is to free up margin to be more like Mary.
I'm still on a journey, dear readers. I thank you for the times you join me on this journey, however briefly. I know eventually, I'll see you at Home.
