The Journey's Weekly Check Up #6

Otherwise known as “A Journal of Reflection”

Share something that made you smile

Sunday, we all ate dinner together. It made me smile to see how the twins love to see Baby Rory!

Share something that made you think

The thought came to me:  We know Jesus was a carpenter when He lived on earth with us. Being a carpenter meant He worked with His hands and wood. Now He might have built housing or perhaps He was a finish carpenter or a furniture maker. I'm sure He would have done the finest job possible. Did his customers appreciate His work?

Then I thought: "What if there was something left of what He made?

"Wouldn't it be neat to see something He made with His own hands?"

And then it was as if the Holy Spirit whispered to me, "But Jerri, everywhere you look you can see His handiwork. He made that beautiful landscape you love so much at the lake! He made all the beauty in the world by speaking it into existence. He made your babies and your grandbabies by knitting them in the womb."

Wow. Just wow.

Share a win from this week

I'm still on a roll - 18 days straight of writing 500 words in the morning when I get up. Sometimes it is responding to a prompt, sometimes it is writing in the Book of Morgan or its sequel, and a lot of the time I'm writing memoir.

I've been writing now for 10 years. I still got stuff to say!

Share a great quote

“Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done.” ― C.S. Lewis

I saw this over at Maree Dee's place and had to share. Every day, we get to choose where we fix our eyes.

Share a song or a scripture that ministered to you

A friend of mine introduced me to this song. I love it, "To the One," by I Am They. Here is a YouTube video of it:

  4. When a trveller travels through an aeroplane , then he/she become able to see the world from the clouds. The travelling like https://www.imanali.in/manali-tour-package-cochin through aeroplane will give you so many beautiful memories. When the plane flies above the land, the traveller feel so much happy and click so many pictures from of the ground, from the sky.
