AmaZing Faithful Love

We’ve talked about how the Lover of our souls loves us forever; that love is also truly faithful.

Even if we have been less than faithful, His response is always pure, faithful love.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34 NKJV

But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15 NKJV

He is compassionate because He knows our frame – what we are made of – and loves us anyway.

He is a covenant-keeping God. He cannot ever go back on any promise – His nature wouldn’t allow it.

As a matter of fact, this is how the Lord described himself when He passed in front of Moses:

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, - Exodus 34:6 ESV
(By then, He’d already had multiple opportunities to back away from the children of Israel if He was going to do so.)

He is the God of His Word. You can always count on Him.

Because He is loving, He has to discipline us as an earthly father would his son. Sometimes we have to suffer through consequences of our actions.

Because He is all-knowing, sometimes He has to answer prayer in a way He knows would be best for us. We might struggle with receiving answers that don’t line up to what we think we need.

Continue to trust. He is a faithful God and He will do what is best.

What a joy to know He will always keep the faith with us! It’s AmaZing!
