Victory

You might be a Christian, if you ... have the victory!

Face it. Life brings trials and tests our way. Christians experience ups and downs the same as the world experiences.

Having Christ live inside us makes all the difference!

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4 NKJV)

Faith in our Savior is essential for overcoming life's difficulties. When we don't know how to handle what comes our way, Jesus does. The trouble is, many times we go for advice everywhere but the Throne Room of God.

We turn to prayer as a last resort when it should be our first option.

Does it mean everything turns out the way we want? No, a thousand times no. We can't see the big picture - only God can. But we can stand on His promise, which I've tested many times:

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NKJV)

And, I'm never disappointed. Because what He has in store for me is always better than what I thought I wanted.

Are you an overcomer? Do you have faith?

I'm always interested in your thoughts. Let me know if there is a word Christians use that you don't understand. I'd be interested to write about it.

  1. It's day 22 already, the month is flying by.
    I wrote about victory also.
My morning starts in prayer so that I will never again forget to go to God first, in gratitude.
Good luck with the last few days.

  3. Your post reminded me of that old hymn, 'Victory in Jesus.'

Made me smile, brought back memories of hearty, joyful singing, Jerralea!

  5. So true how we turn to prayer as our last option which it should be our first option; I'm trying to get better about that myself.

It is amazing how God answers prayers; always for his glory in some amazing ways!
