S is for Slow-Cooker Spinach Tortellini Soup and Slow

I know it is April, but I can't resist adding another soup to my A-Z lineup. This recipe's full name is Slow Cooker Creamy Tortellini Spinach and Chicken Soup. That's a mouthful, but a tasty mouthful!

I found the recipe on Pinterest, but you can click here and go directly to 365 Days of Slow Cooking to see the recipe.

My girls and I loved it. The only thing I would change the next time I make it would be to decrease the amount of tortellini - I think 3 cups would be just right - because the star of this recipe is the tasty broth.

It. Is. So. Good.

I love slow cooking some dishes because it really brings out the flavor, but I sometimes have a hard time waiting when it seems that God is slow on answers to prayer.  I need to remember that God sees the big picture and I don't. He is always on time and things work out in the end. I just need to be patient.

"The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. " 2 Peter 3:9 ESV

He has a purpose for being slow. His timetable is ultimately better than mine!

S is for Slow-Cooker Spinach Tortellini Soup and Slow is another post from my series, Feasting Body and Soul from A-Z.  I believe family dinner is important and I also believe food for the soul is just as important. Join me each day as I explore feeding both.

During April, I’m participating in the A-Z Challenge.  Over  eight hundred writers (as of last count) will be posting in various categories. Visit here to see a list of all the fantastic bloggers – a veritable smorgasbord of entries to feast upon!

  1. Yum on the soup! We are soup people almost all times of the year :)

So glad God's timing is better than mine, in looking back at situations I'm glad he didn't answer "yes" right away on some things and let me grow during the process :)
