But that's not on my praise post list ... not exactly, but I have listed things that are nice to have if you are staying in on a blustery day:
- I'm thankful to have a home that is paid for, humble as it may be.
- After a great sale at Kroger's this week, I'm happy to say my pantry is stocked!
- If I'm home for any length of time, I probably will do some cooking. I am thankful for all the cooking tools I own. I believe in having the right tools for any job you tackle.
- I love my kitchen island! I never had one before but when we remodeled the house after the flood, we moved the dining table out of the kitchen and put in an small island with a butcher block top. I love prepping meals there - and I gained the equivalent of two cabinets.
- Last but not least, I'm thankful for Pinterest. After all, if I'm staying in and cooking up a storm, I need inspiration, right? Pinterest never lets me down!

Jerralea, I enjoy staying in and cooking also! Next week this time I will be doing a lot of it, as our family will be here from Maine...our two granddaughters and our son and daughter-in-law. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also love Pinterest! It has so many options for inspiration!
How fun if it is a snow day! Seems like you will be prepared if it is so to get some cooking done :) I like Pinterest; I don't spend a lot of time there, but always get great ideas when I do :)

I love those days when I can stay in to cook or sew or whatever! I just came back from the grocery store though to get a couple of things because we are going to be hit with a hard freeze tomorrow and the next day and I don't want to go out then. How nice to have that island and be able to have lots of space to prepare! How exciting that your family is coming from Maine to spend Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeletemust be getting our snow ;) We got almost eight inches Thursday/Friday. Now it's FROZEN! I am grateful the roads are at least drying out.
ReplyDeletewe are getting lots of rain here but some parts of NY are getting snow. I love Pinterest too but I get most of my recipes from yummly app on my iPad! enjoy your day of cooking.
ReplyDeleteI love to be in the kitchen so your thankfulness for your cooking things I can relate to! My island will someday be a gas cook top. It's large and everyone drops their stuff on it when they walk in the back door :(
ReplyDeleteWe are just very cold today. No more snow in the forecast. :)
Great post. I have a old metal table as a kitchen island, wink. I haven't been on Pinterest.
