FOR TODAY, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH
Outside my window... the first snow day of the season, 26° when I got up, a fluffy wet blanket of snow mounded on my rose bushes.
I am thinking...how kind of the Lord to have Pastor close the office today. I'm behind on my work for this week's bible study and also the monthly board meeting on Thursday. Now I can catch up!
I am thankful... for the Lord's care and protection. He is so good to me!
In the kitchen... I'm finally going to make that cheeseburger bacon soup that I had planned to do last week but never did. I also want to make some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.
I am wearing...comfy jeans, thick socks, a lime green tee and an afghan.
I am creating...order in the home office
I am going... no where today!
I am reading... The Confession by Robert Whitlow, one of my favorite authors. I also got in the mail today, Chicken Soup for the Soul, "Find Your Inner Strength." One of my favorite blogger buddies, Ceil Ryan at Surrounded by the Spirit is a contributor! I'll be diving into that next.
I am hoping...and praying for a safe journey for Janae and the babies when they head back to Colorado this weekend.
I am looking forward to... tonight when I see my babies
Around the house... the smell of my wax burner, and soon the smell of SOUP
A favorite quote for today... "Don't be a saved Pharisee, telling others how to live but never really applying it to your own life." ... Travis Schroeder, my pastor.
One of my favorite things...spending time with the grands - I am completely and totally wrapped around their tiny fingers.
A few plans for the rest of the week: at home - enjoying the grands, at work - starting to get my 2015 files ready.
A peek into my day...

Well, our weather is pretty much the same only we are much colder today. Our high is 24! ugh... a great day to stay inside, getting caught up.
ReplyDeleteOnly one more week of those precious little faces!? :/
I can see how they would have you wrapped rather tightly!
Cute kiddos! I have pumpkin and banana muffins to make sometime today or tomorrow. Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable photos! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteJerralea, I enjoyed reading your entry today. Those grands do have a way of doing their magic on us, don't they? Enjoy every minute between now and the time they leave for home this weekend.
ReplyDeleteCeil is a wonderful writer! I love her style!
How was the soup?
Oh, what cute babies!
ReplyDeleteHi Jerralea! I'm so glad you got the book. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSeems like I am always sitting with a blanket on me these days too. It's been so cold! Maybe I'd really enjoy a muffin while I sit and read?
Your little ones are so cute, what smiles (did I see dimples?).
Hope you get caught up with your work!
Ceil
I like how you were wearing an afghan. I do the same thing at night. Anything to feel comfortable.
ReplyDeleteHope the soup helped take some of the chill off of the day!
betty
Funny, I just saw a recipe for bacon cheeseburger soup. It's a small world wide web! BTW, those grands are to die for!
