Daybook: 11.10.14

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10th

Outside my window... a sunny cool fall day.

I am thinking... of all the blessings in my life.  Would you like to join me in counting our blessings?  We are listing 5 blessings each day of November which will total 150 praises. You could link up your praise post at Jerralea's Journey each morning.  It's not too late to join us, jump in wherever you are.

I am thankful... that my girls and my grands were all able to go to lunch with us yesterday. It's rare when all of us can be together.

In the kitchen... trying out a new recipe tonight, Bacon Cheeseburger soup. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I am wearing... black pinstripe dress pants, black blouse with a slate blue cardigan.

I am creating... memories with my grands.

I am reading... I finished the Jan Karon book "Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good." I was sad for it to end ... I haven't picked out my next book yet.

I am looking forward to...the next time I see our grands!

I am learning to remind myself that God is good, even when some Mondays are not so good.  It's all going to work out!

Around the house... the smell of cinnamon

A favorite quote for today...

“Sleep in peace, God is awake.”  - Victor Hugo

I saw this quoted in the Jan Karon book I've been reading.  I love it!

One of my favorite things... a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows.  I had my first of the season last night.

A few plans for the rest of the week: still playing with the babies and letting the rest wait.

A peek into my day... pics of my grands:

A few weeks ago ...

One of the few times he's not grinning widely!

The daybook was created by Peggy Hostetler. You can link up at her site, The Simple Woman's Blog.

  1. These grands are just so so cute, Jerralea. I love your attitude that other things can wait while you have this opportunity to enjoy the grands.

And I really like the Victor Hugo quote.

  2. Sounds like you have a lovely life. Those grands are a big part of it from the sounds of your post. They are lovely little ones!!

  3. I'll have to check out my library for the Mitford books. I've read the first two in the series. They do sound wonderful. I agree with letting other stuff go and paying attention to what is most important - those precious babies! I'd love to hear how the soup turned out. Sounds intriguing!
