We're eleven days in on giving praise for the blessings in our lives. Here's mine for today:
- I'm thankful for the military. I do not take their sacrifice lightly. My son-in-law will be deployed soon and will be serving our country. He is sacrificing time with his family to protect America.
- Hot cocoa - I love its warm chocolatey goodness
- Warm socks - I'm not a happy camper if my toes are cold!
- Prayer - I'm thankful to be able to call on God anytime I need Him. I don't have to go through a priest. He is always available and will listen.
- Laughter - If I'm feeling down, finding something funny will lift me up quicker than anything. (I keep a joke file in case I'm desperate!)
What's the quickest thing to bring a smile to your face?
Now it's your turn. What blessings can you count today? Leave a comment and share, or if you have a blog, consider linking up below. Praise Posts are running through the month of November. We are thanking God for 5 blessings each day to total 150 praises. You don't have to elaborate, just list if you want. Jump in right where you are whether it's Day 10 or Day 29. I'd love for you participate!

Kudos to your son in law and all those who sacrifice for the greater good.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the cold feet! If my feet are cold - I'm cold all over. My hat is off to your son in law. They sacrifice so much for us! Have a blessed day.

On a cold day like this these are some great things to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteI too am thankful for our veterans! What a sacrifice they have made for us.
Wow, I keep a joke file too. It's been a while since I've laughed until my sides hurt. Usually facebook is good for something like "auto correct texts sent from your mother". I must go in search of a laugh or dig out that file soon.
ReplyDeleteHello Jerralea, I am late getting my post up today...but I wanted to pop in and say hello!
ReplyDeleteIt is always heartwarming to me when people express their gratitude for the military. There are many sacrifices...both on the part of the one serving AND on their families (as you know).
Hot Cocoa...oh my! I don't drink it often because of the caffeine but I do enjoy it when I have it. There is always a can of Redi-Whip in the door of the fridge for such an occasion. ;-)
Have a wonderful evening, my friend.
