Day 25: Enjoy

Life is a beautiful gift meant for us to enjoy.

I feel so sad when I hear of those who feel so hopeless thinking ending their life is the only option.

Jesus meant for us to have an abundant life. A rewarding satisfying life, but perhaps not a life filled with material blessings - although, if you are on the Internet reading this, I'm sure you have plenty of possessions compared to some.

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" John 10:10

The first step to a satisfying life if you don't feel yours is: help somebody! If you can just brighten someone's day in the least little way, you'll find that your life is brightened, too.

When my hubby was first diagnosed with bi-polar, I did tons of reading on the subject. I found a lot of people with depression or bi-polar discovered that if they helped someone they began to feel better. It might not totally cure them because a lot of people have a chemical imbalance, but it made them have many more good days than before.

It's kind of a biblical principle, really.  Reaping what you've sown.

Do you enjoy life?  Name something that brightens your days.

  1. Wise words. I've found that it helps me get out of depression. Have a lovely Sunday.
