Daybook: 05.05.14

FOR TODAY, the first MONDAY in MAY

Outside my window... a gorgeous Spring day, wish I could go out and play!  I'd be out looking for beautiful Spring nature scenes to capture on my camera.

I am thinking... of how aggravating it is to be hacked!  Yes, my email was hacked today and my contact list is wiped out, and now my password is changed.  I feel like I am starting over!

I am thankful... to have concerned friends and relatives.  I've even received calls and text messages checking to make sure I am alright.

In the kitchen... not sure what the main course will be, but I know dessert is strawberries and angel food cake again.  I have it as much as possible this time of year. Oh, and thanks to my Canadian friends who gave me the heads up about eating strawberries dipped into brown sugar and sour cream. Divine!

I am wearing...a black and white sundress and a shrug and sandals.

I am creating... new photo albums.  I have some that are 30 years old and needing to be re-done.

I am going... no where, and certainly not to Turkey as a hacker tried to suggest.

I am reading... "Runaway Saint" by Lisa Samson.  It's different but very interesting.

Around the house... are some chores that I'm getting behind on accomplishing ...

I am pondering ... the book of Ruth and how although Naomi kept saying God was punishing her, in fact, she was blessed in the end.

A favorite quote for today

Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

1 Peter 2:2-3

One of my favorite things... spring flowers. Currently, I'm crushing on flowered trees, phlox and azaleas.

A few plans for the rest of the week: wrapping up notes on the book of Ruth for this Wednesday's bible study, and working on my photo albums.

A peek into my day...

  3. I so enjoyed your post, and that beautiful photo!! What a gorgeous Spring day!
Ohh, that dessert sounds so wonderful. It is such a perfect taste, especially refreshing when it starts getting warmer and warmer. Loved what you are pondering too, so interesting.

    Have a blessed day :)

  4. Such a pretty tree in bloom! I used to get hacked a lot when I was spending a lot of time on FB; now that I'm not, I realize I haven't been hacked in awhile. It is such a frustrating thing though!

  5. Yeah, it definitely feels frustrating to have your account hacked like that. I hope you have a great week!

  6. What a beautiful tree you were able to photograph, Jerralea!

And I want you to know that you inspire me when it comes to redoing photo albums! While our son's family was here over Easter I got out the picture albums from when our granddaughters' daddy was a little boy...which amounts to about 30 years. I don't get them out that often anymore and I didn't realize how close they are to being damaged if I don't redo them. This is a busy time of year for me, but I think if I just focus on one album at a time instead of thinking of ALL of them that need redone it won't seem so overwhelming.

I have been away from blogging for a few months and during that time, I didn't do much reading of other blogs either. I've just recently started back blogging full time again and was happy to come by here to read your daybook entry.

  8. The hacker said you were going to Turkey? My computer's hard drive crashes about once a month--it's a brand new computer. Something about Windows 8. Computer problems make me crazy...and I worked in tech support for 13 years. I just don't like dealing with it. I'd rather write!
