MIGHTY
You don't see the word mighty used much in our culture. It means superior power and strength. Hmm... kind of like a super power.
I remember way back in the day we had a cartoon character called Mighty Mouse. Other than the fact he had a cape and was able to fly, I don't remember much about it.
I'm not into flying mice, really.
Actually, the only way I use the word mighty is in reference to God. In fact, He is the mighty of the mightiest.
Think about it. He is so powerful He can just SPEAK worlds into existence!
He can fashion a human being with His HANDS.
He can write with His FINGER in the dust and stop a crowd from hurling stones and killing one of their own.
He can CALL forth the dead from the grave, just like He called Lazurus.
Not only can He RAISE His own Son from the dead, but He can RESURRECT His body into an immortal one with the ability to walk through walls.
He's Mighty to Save. It only takes a person asking and believing in Him to have power to have a changed life.
You can't get any mightier than that.

ReplyDeleteSo true! It is amazing to think of how much God can do with so little "action" (like speaking into existence). He is mighty!
Wonderful encouraging thoughts, Jerri.
