On Fridays, I love to reflect on the highlights of the past week. The days slide by so quickly, if you don't mark the events in your mind it will soon be just like any other week and you've lost it forever.
1. One highlight that just lifted my spirits every day is looking at this bouquet of Easter flowers. My friend Marti brought them to the office for me and I've enjoyed their cheery colors immensely. It's funny how a little thing like fresh flowers can be so cheering!
2. Weather in the 50s and 60s. Who doesn't love warmer weather?
3. I did not feel well last weekend so spent my days on the couch. I'm thankful for a comfortable haven when I'm sick. And I'm thankful for family to help when I'm under the weather. And the DVR is a blessing, too.
4. A smooth work week with the ability to cross off many things on my to-do list is a highlight anytime.
5. Quote of the week - I thought I'd dig one out of the archives:
A compliment is verbal
sunshine. Robert Orben
Let's spread some sunshine wherever we go!

What cheery flowers!
ReplyDeleteWe've been enjoying the 50s for a few days, too. I'm hoping the cold we're supposed to have this weekend will be the last til next winter.
I'm glad you had a cozy place with help and entertainment last weekend and hope you're feeling back up to par now.
I was sick at the beginning of this week - so much flu going around. But feeling better now - glad you are too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bouquet - spring indoors! I haven't seen daffodils in the stores around here yet.
Hope you get some more lovely spring weather this weekend.
Love that quote! I hope and pray you are feeling well this weekend! The spring bouquet is gorgeous!! Yay for getting things crossed off the work list!! Happy Friday, Jeralea
ReplyDeleteI love spring flowers. So cheery. Sorry you were sick this week. Glad you were able to find that cozy place and recuperate.
ReplyDeleteHurray that you are feeling better, Jerri, and that you had some extra cheering with those lovely flowers. You calling 50s and 60s warmer is what we called cooler during our week or two of "spring" weather ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat happy flowers! And it's a blessing to receive them as a gift.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling fine now. Resting is sometimes the best cure.
Let spring come!
Oh, those flowers are lovely! Yellow is the happiest of colors. :o)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying some warmer weather. Hope it helps you heal and feel all better.
