Daybook: 12.02.13

FOR TODAY, the first Monday in December ...

Outside my window...
dreariness but at least it is 44° instead of in the 20s like last week.
I am thinking... how blessed I am to have all my family and friends.  I just wish I had more time to spend with them ...
I am thankful.
.. to have a stay-cation this week!

In the kitchen
... I'll be making chicken and rice tonight

I am wearing... hot pink tee and jeans - oh, if only I could wear jeans every day ...
I am creating...  a home office
I am going... to stay home as much as possible this week.
I am reading... the book of Romans in the bible.
I am hoping... to get a lot accomplished this week.
I am looking forward to... how great it is going to be when I get our desks moved out of the living room.
I am learning... too much stuff makes you crazy.
Around the house... a lot of moving and de-cluttering will be going on this week. Also, some Christmas decorating is planned.
I am pondering... the glorious fact that I am justified by faith.  It's the greatest deal ever and I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would reject Christ as their Savior.  I'm thinking of the chorus to the old hymn, "Faith is the Victory."
Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
Oh, glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.
~ John H. Yates (1891)

A favorite quote for today...
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4
One of my favorite things... organizing and de-cluttering - I'll be having a great time this week.
A few plans for the rest of the week: moving desks into office, decorating office, cleaning out closets, rearranging the living room, and so on and so on.
A peek into my day...

 Let the moving begin!

  1. Hi Jerralea! Clutter does make me crazy too. (But I do put up with a lot of it!) How fun to be on your way to a home office! That's exciting. Just a fun little place to get some work done...I like that.

I hope it gets to be 44 degrees here today. I'd like to get out for a walk. My daughter and her family left yesterday, so I'd like to get back to a little normalcy today.

    Enjoy your projects :)

  2. I feel like I am constantly de-cluttering! But if I don't, I feel like I could go crazy! LOL! I love stay-cations and can't wait for mine later this month.
I really enjoyed my study on Romans! It is so rich in doctrine! So encouraging!
Hope you have a great week!
