Daybook: 11.25.13

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25TH

Outside my window...
cold, 32° and a chance of sleet.

I am thinking... I can't believe this is the last Monday in November already!

I am thankful... for the heater under my desk!

In the kitchen... seems like a good day for chicken and dumplings.

I am wearing
... boots, purple skinnies and a fuchsia top

I am creating... a mental list of all the things I want to do next week - my last week of staycation for this year.

I am going... to enjoy  every minute of this season.

I am wondering... how people live without joy ...

I am reading... "A Matter of Trust," by Lis Wiehl

I am hoping...  for a smooth week at work since I must do 5 days work in 3.

I am looking forward to... January when we will be starting the Beth Moore bible study, "Believing God."

I am learning ... contentment.  I am blessed and I'm thankful for it.

Around the house... is kind of messy.  I'm hoping to take care of that next week.

I am pondering... how I'm going to handle my last chicklet leaving the nest.  Wednesday is moving day for our daughter.  And then I'm supposed to be thankful on the next day, Thanksgiving?  Hmmm.....

A favorite quote for today...

Spiritually speaking, amnesia will kill you.  (Do not forget what God has done for you. – based on Deut. 8)
Beth Moore, Wednesdays with Beth on Life Today, Aug. 28, 2013

In this season of counting our blessings, we need to remember everything the Lord has done for us - and express gratitude.

One of my favorite things... staycation weeks.  If only I could convince someone to pay me for staying home all the time - how wonderful would that be?

A few plans for the rest of the week: cooking and baking ...

A peek into my day...

I pass by this beautiful tree daily for a short period of time - once the leaves fall, the beauty is gone.

  1. I can't do mental lists! LOL! I MUST. WRITE. IT. DOWN. :)
I know what you mean about the heater under your desk. Everyone makes fun of me because I am always so cold! hmmm. Cramming 5 days into 3, yep. I understand that too!
    Praying for your pondering.
    Great quote!

I love staycations myself. I'm a homebody! :) Happy Thanksgiving!
