A Sure Thing

If you are a fan of Jan Karon books, as I am, you know all about Father Tim.  You know that Father Tim will always ask people to pray with him the "prayer that never fails."

What is the prayer that never fails?

It's the prayer you pray when you ask God for His will to be done.

Luke 11:2 King James Version (KJV)

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

You see, God's plan and purposes will come to pass.  You can count on it.  So when you pray that His will be done, it is a sure thing.

How do I know what God's will is?  Come back tomorrow and we'll talk about what the Word says.

  1. Dear Jerralea
When I experience that excruciating pain that comes with Fm/CFS especially, my prayer to Pappa is giving my spirit into His Hands, asking Him to glorify His name. He ALWAYS answers and I can so often feel how my heart is free, filled with love, joy and peace as if I am flying on the wings of the wind. He is just the greatest Pappa ever. There is nothing we go through in this life where His grace doesn't keep us.

  2. Love that series. On one of my 10 hr drives to TX, I got one of them on CD. Didn't make it to chapter 3 because I couldn't stand the reader's presentation. Just did not match my own vision of how the lines would have been said etc.
