Constant Communication

"I didn't know anything about it.  No one tells me anything."

"Honey, yes I told you!  Don't you remember at dinner yesterday I said that?'

Ever have a communication break-down?  It happens frequently at my home.

It happens at work, too.

We need to be more intentional about telling everyone the details they need to know ... Sometimes, it is wise to back it up in writing ...

We also need to be more intentional about talking to God, too.

Suppose you had made a really big sacrifice for someone?  You gave your all, went above and beyond the call of duty.  Yet, you feel the person that benefited from your sacrifice never had time for you. Oh yes, they said thank you and that they were grateful, but were always too busy to include you in their lives.  You wouldn't feel very good.  You might feel taken for granted.

God wants us to be in constant communication with Him.  No, that doesn't mean we need to be on our knees praying all day.  He wants us to have an attitude of prayer.

He wants to be the first person you tell when something great happens.

He wants to be the first to know when you are in trouble.

He wants to do life with you!

1 Thessalonians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)

Pray without ceasing.

Prayer is definitely one of the basics that every believer should include in their spiritual walk.  For the next few days, we will be talking about prayer.

This post is Day 6 of my series, 31 Basics for Believers.  You can find all the posts here.
