The Simple Woman's Daybook - April 12, 2011

FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 2011

Outside my window...a cool spring morning.  The rain has stopped ... for now.
I am thinking...about this wonderful quote from one of my favorite authors:

Jesus knew that believing is work. It is heart work.”
… Marybeth Whalen

All we are called to do is just believe. It sounds simple, but sometimes it's not easy!
I am thankful for...for God's word.  In it's pages, there is an answer for anything I might face.
From the kitchen... I'm going to try a new chicken recipe tonight, Pampered Chef's Herbed Chicken Ring.
I am wearing...one of my favorite brown dresses and a new pair of brown wedges.  I love Spring, when you don't have to wear socks!
I am creating... nothing lately.  I haven't been motivated.
I am going...no extra meetings this week!  Yay!
I am reading..."One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp. I'm now carrying a journal wherever I go to scribble down gifts when I see them.
I am hoping... for a speedy "yes" to a prayer I've been praying.
I am hearing... the ticking of the clock.  Such a comforting sound!
Around the house...my phlox are blooming.  I am hoping to get a good photo in between rainstorms.
One of my favorite things... highlighting quotes in books.
A few plans for the rest of the week: buying a wedding gift, changing out the linens in my kitchen for something more "springy," studying Psalm 4.
Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...

I'm getting anxious to go for a walk ... Would you like to come?

What a lovely path photo...very inviting and peaceful! A walk to breathe in God's goodness, release cares upon Him and hold tight to His promises. I walk with you from afar and join you in celebrating spring (spring weather, spring blooms, spring's cleansing rains...had a couple nice showers today).

    Blessings in Him ~
