FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Outside my window...winter dreariness ...

I am thinking... about this scripture I saw in The Message:

"Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless - that's your job, to bless." 1 Peter 3:8-9a

It's so easy when someone hurts me to want to respond with sarcasm, but instead I must bless. It's especially a tall order when it is someone close to you that has hurt your feelings ...

I am thankful for...how GOOD God is to me, even though I do not deserve anything from Him.

From the kitchen...beans and cornbread

I am wearing...Brown pants, boots and polo shirt, layered underneath a soft dark green suede jacket. One good thing about cold weather, I can wear my suede jackets!

I am creating... a list of projects for my upcoming vacation.

I am going... on a Walmart run after work today since I did not buy any groceries this week.

I am reading... the newest Jan Karon book.

I am hoping...to be a good mother-in-law.

I am hearing... the hum of the refrigerator.

Around the house... fall decor that must give way to Christmas pretties.

One of my favorite things... a week with nowhere to go.

A few plans for the rest of the week: getting ready for TWO Christmas parties this weekend.  Oh my!
