FOR TODAY, October 11, 2010
Outside my window... darkness with an occasional motorist passing by.
I am thinking...of a devotional that I am going to lead Wednesday night. It's entitled "Are You Armed and Dangerous, or Asleep or Daydreaming?"
I am thankful for...the opportunity to share, and also the many study helps and bible versions available to help me prepare a lesson.
From the kitchen... lemon-pepper pork chops and broccoli and cheese.
I am wearing...brown slacks, lime green cami, brown, yellow and lime green plaid tunic.
I am creating...an outline for my devotional
I am going...to get my haircut today.
I am reading...I just finished Beverly Lewis' new book, "The Thorn."
I am hoping...to get in the Word more and more ... it's vital!
I am hearing...appliances hum and the clocks ticking. Everyone else is asleep - today's a holiday, Columbus Day.
Around the house...everything is pretty well caught up at the present time!
One of my favorite things...the smell of candles burning - one of the things I love about this time of year!
A few plans for the rest of the week: finishing my devotional and getting some things done for next week's board meeting.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

This is a photo of a farmhouse I took while traveling a country road near my home about a year and a half ago. I just love it! I have a real affection for old two story homes - especially those with porches!
Daybooking is a concept conceived by Peggy Hostetler at The Simple Woman's Daybook. It's a journal page that chronicles life at the beginning of each week and helps us to do a little planning for the week ahead. If you'd like to join in, click here.
Hello, It is nice to meet you. I have enjoyed your daybook, and as time allows plan to come back and read more of your blog.
ReplyDeleteI have become a follower of your blog ~~feel free to become a follower of my blog as well.

I think I might do this on Tuesdays! Mondays are not good for me! LOL! I really LIKE it though... except for the part where I have to tell that I'm still wearing my jammies every week! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been suckered into leading one day Bible class on outreach. This just happened yesterday... and so my studying is only just beginning. But mostly I just have to talk about what I know... I just need some scripture to back me up! I don't lead it until Nov. 14th... so I'm good! As long as I don't procrastinate... I wish I could attend some of YOUR classes! Your heart is SO ablaze!!!
Ooh hello, what a fab idea! I've bookmarked this post and might try my own daybooking!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a fabulous week
xoxo

Hi Jerralea, enjoyed your Daybook today, and loved the picture. How comfy cozy it looks.
ReplyDeleteI have just started reading "The Thorn" by Beverly Lewis. I like the picture of the old farmhouse...I love farmhouses! Hope your week is great! Karen
ReplyDeleteI would love to read the devotional. It sounded fascinating. Care to share?
ReplyDeleteI wish you would send me the devotionals that you do. Hint Hint
ReplyDeleteI love Candles and Old Houses with Big Porches.
That is the kind of house that pops into my mind when I think about your area of the world
Wow what a beautiful farmhouse. Yes, my plate was pretty full this week. And I actually ended up being gone with 2 teacher conferences & a Reconcilation meeting with my daughter last night. But, we are staying home tonight, I think. Thank you for visiting my blog. It's not much. Hoping to tend to it more, when sports settle down in our house. Have a good weekend.
