The Simple Woman's Daybook - September 28, 2010

Usually, I try to join it at Peggy Hostetler's The Simple Woman's Daybook on Mondays to journal and plan my week. I fought a nasty virus all weekend, so today is the first day I felt even a stirring of energy.  I decided Tuesday is better than no day, so here is my contribution for this week:

FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

Outside my window... vehicles passing by on their way to work.  Soon, I'll be joining them.
I am thinking...how aggravating it is to have time at home, yet no energy to accomplish anything.
I am thankful for...sick day pay!
From the kitchen...I have to admit that I have no idea what I'm going to make for tonight's dinner!
I am wearing...one of my favorite outfits, gray slacks, gray, black and turquoise top, black cardigan and turquoise shoes.
I am creating...this month's newsletter at work
I am going...as few places as possible.  I need rest...
I am reading..."The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd
I am hoping... that I get two days work done in one!
I am hearing...my daughter drying her hair.
Around the house...the sound of silence (when the hair dryer is not going!)... it finally got cool enough to shut off the air conditioner!
One of my favorite things... my favorite comfy chair and ottoman to sit at when I don't feel well.
A few plans for the rest of the week: I'd like to get out my fall decor but my motivation is not quite there yet.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

A sunny day at the lake ...

The picture of the lake makes me homesick for northern Michigan. I love being at the lake.

    Take care of yourself.
