The Simple Woman's Daybook - February 23, 2009

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd EDITION ...

Outside my window...

marvelous sunshine! And it's 29 degrees ...

I am thinking...

of all I want to accomplish this week.

I am thankful for...

my family who loves me.

From the kitchen...

I'm thinking of making homemade chicken noodle soup tonight.

I am wearing...

gray pants, geometric tunic with black, gray, and aqua squares, black duster.

I am creating...

a to-do list.

I am going...

to Wally World after work.

I am reading...

Terri Blackstock's new book, I think the title is "Double Blind."

I am hoping...

to be a blessing to my world!

I am hearing...

the tick-tock of the clock.

Around the house...

some laundry and some dusting needs to be done. (This is my weekly answer!)

One of my favorite things...

chocolate chip cookies!

A few plans for the rest of the week:

some get well cards to be sent, flowers ordered for a friend, and dreaded taxes to be done.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Picture from recent ice storm

  2. "some laundry and some dusting needs to be done. (This is my weekly answer!)" I had to laugh at this. I usually ignore the dusting, but laundry is always on my list, too!!!

  5. Like Rina, I had to giggle at your weekly answer! Dusting is my least favorite thing to do. I think it is because I usually leave that for the last and by the time I get to it...I'm ready to be done with the whole house cleaning business! :O)

I left you a comment on my blog - not sure if they forward that on to you are not. I'm still learning blogger and how it works. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to getting to know you here.

  6. Wally World, a place from one of my favorite movies or do you mean WalMart? The picture of the ice is great. Our last ice storm was awful. Looks like tornado damage for a hundred miles of trees on scenic highway 7 here in AR. I enjoyed your blog and will return to read more. Thanks for sharing. Doylene
