Can you see it?.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:5 NKJV

The darkness didn't understand what was happening. Light had come. The Light was life, and the power to give life to others. But the darkness just couldn't see what was in front of its face.

And so darkness tried to overpower the Light but it failed. It's impossible to extinguish this light - once it was unleashed on the world, it can never be snuffed out.

Neither could the darkness use it for its own purposes. The light was there to accomplish what the Father had planned from the beginning of time and nothing could stop it.

How many times is the answer right in front of our own faces and we just can't see it?

We strive and struggle to improve our lot in life but really there is only one thing to seek.

Seek the giver of light and He promises to nourish, supply, defend and protect His own.

Seek first the kingdom of God and you'll receive whatever is needed.

Whatever. Is. Needed.

I'm sharing a You-Tube video of a song that talks about His loving Kindness shining through our darkness - Jesus Christ, Our Living Hope. (Subscribers will need to click through to my blog.)

  4. The light comes in, the darkness fades,
but in this world it must endure,
for to see the devil's waiting blades
    we need its chiaroscuro.
We're not yet creatures of the light,
    freed for Adam's Eden-sin.
To walk the walk and win the fight,
we need to see to win.
The darkness gives us light and shadow
that define that which we see
and mark the course we need to plow
    to gain God's victory.
When we bask one day in Heaven's glow,
the shadows can depart, and go.
