AmaZing Love that Keeps Covenant

Along your journey, you are going to find fellow travelers who will let you down.

Even worse, you will find yourself disappointed in YOU. It hurts when you let yourself down!

However, there is One who never goes back on His word. It goes against His very nature.

It’s impossible for Him to lie or break a promise!

 ¹⁷ God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. ¹⁸ So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. ¹⁹ This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Hebrews 6:17-19 NLT

So, what is a covenant? It’s an oath-bound relationship between two or more parties.

We just read where God cannot break an oath. What He promises must come true.

The sun rising and setting each day is an example of covenant. A rainbow after a storm is another example.

His love ensures the keeping of His covenants.

“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments Deuteronomy 7:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

And I said: “I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, Nehemiah 1:5 New King James Version (NKJV)

And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, Daniel 9:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

You can rely on Him.

You really can.

He will never ever go back on His Word.

So, keep traveling, my friend. Keep pressing on toward Home.

It will be AmaZingly worth the effort.
