AmaZing Jesus Kind of Love

On my journey, I have a home church. (I hope you do, too!) At our church, we often sing the song, “Oh, How He Loves You and Me.” The song really resonates with me, especially the line:

“He gave His life,

What more could He do?”

Indeed.

Nothing could prove His love more.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13 (NKJV)

What makes us think He would write us off so easily?  If we are valuable enough for Him to give the ultimate sacrifice, wouldn’t it mean He would do everything possible to keep us in fellowship with Him?

Please understand me:  it would be a terrible thing for us to treat the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior trivially.

Oh, that none of us would make the mistake of accepting His free gift of salvation and then go on down the road living for ourselves!

Let us also not make the mistake of thinking our very humanity would make Him give up on us.

He knows us inside and out.

Just as a father has compassion on his children,So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.For He Himself knows our frame;He is mindful that we are but dust.Psalm 103:13-14

If you are like me, you are harder on yourself than anyone. But God has a Jesus kind of love for you. He thinks you were worth the ultimate sacrifice.
