To me, there are some "benchmark" scriptures. Words I stand on and claim when my world seems to be crumbling around me.
Today's scripture definitely fits into the category.
He never gives up on me; He is faithful.
Every day is a new day; a fresh one filled with mercy for me.
If that doesn't make gratitude swell up in your soul ... well, I just can't comprehend it.
Father, I know I'm just "mundane human flesh" as Bro. Heady used to preach so long ago; there is nothing special about me. Yet, for some mysterious reason, You love me and gave me another chance today.
I cannot praise You enough!

oh but there IS something special about us!! He sings over us!!!! He holds us in the palm of His Hand...He loves us no matter what! and yes, we are special to Him!!
