Enduring Mercy - #1

Welcome, November!

I love November almost as much as I love October because it is still fall, and because it contains one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving.

I love to focus on thankfulness each day of the month. In the past, I've done "Praise Posts," where I gave thanks for at least 5 things daily. (You can see each day on the sidebar in my Featured Post one of my 2014 Praise Posts.)

This year, I wanted to do something a little different.

I am beyond grateful for the Word. It helps me so much and I'm a big believer in reading, studying and knowing the Word.

I thought it would be fun to focus on a daily scripture during the month of November.

I noticed Crystal Twaddell is doing An Invitiation to 30 Days of Thanks-living. I believe Crystal's intention is for us all to meet daily at her Facebook page, but her prompts for November are scriptures! It seems like it was meant to be, so I will be blogging along with her prompts as well as commenting on Facebook.

The first scripture is Psalm 107:1 -

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

Did you know He never runs out of mercy?

Never!

What a blessing for a hard-head like me who sometimes has to fall down more than once to learn her lesson.

He doesn't say, "That Jerralea! Will she ever learn? I'm giving her one more chance but if she blows it, that's it."

Oh, thank you, Lord. You are the God of a thousand chances. I pray I don't have to get to 999 before I finally get the lesson You have for me.

Day one: I'm grateful for mercy that doesn't give up!

  1. I'm pondering doing something similar for the days of November. Thanks for your thoughts today.

  2. Oh I just love this idea Jerralea! I no longer blog every day because I am now teaching full time again (well, I am an assistant teacher but it is full time plus I am a small group leader at my church plus I am mentoring someone). So I can't blog every day and I no longer go on FB every evening as it gets to be a time waster for me. But posting a daily scripture is something I can do on FB....I tend to find images with Bible verses so I will probably do that. I love NOvember too although i PREFER October and Sept :)

Happy November and Happy All Saints Day!
