Getting back into the groove has been hard for me in the last 6 weeks but I feel this week has seen a lot of progress. I hate when things are hanging over my head, so I'm thankful the to-do list has gotten whittled down.
Answered prayer is always a plus. I don't know if I had shared with you, but for a long time I've been praying for God to send my church someone to take over leading worship. I love being on the worship team, but leading? Not so much. In the last few weeks, He has done just that. Our new worship leader sings in a gospel group and is a music teacher, so he is well qualified to lead. He's already taught us some new songs. I'm enjoying being on the team immensely. Praise God!
Gorgeous weather has been surrounding us in the midwest lately. I'm so thankful. Thankful also for a cheap electric bill this month!
We had a wonderful time visiting family in East Tennessee and North Carolina last month. I saw some beautiful scenery such as this view of the mountains:
I always like to end an F.F.F. with a great quote. I saw this at Emily's site a few days ago and it really spoke to me:
“The question is not Can we heal? The question, the only question, is Will we let the healing power of the risen Jesus flow through us to reach and touch others, so that they may dream and fight and bear and run where the brave dare not go?” – Brennan Manning, The Furious Longing of God
Touching others for Christ - the goal of the journey ...
And so ends another week on the Journey. I'm thankful each day for a fresh start. Next week, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Let us all be thinking of all our blessings and sharing the great things He has done for us.
How did your week go?
I'd love to know! Leave a comment and share or consider linking up your own Friday's Fave Five post at Susanne's space, Living to Tell the Story and tell us all about your journey.
