Thanks for All Things Beautiful

Today, I'm sharing an updated post from a 2012 Giving Thanks challenge. I still believe these words 100%.

I've written many times of my love for the beauty of nature.  God has blessed us with gorgeous scenery. It is uplifting to the soul to gaze on the beauty God has made.

Beauty is all around if you willing to see it.

Not just beauty of landscape, although that is certainly a source of beauty.

What about beauty of spirit? A person with a loving spirit exudes a beauty no amount of make-up and jewelry can match.

What about the beauty of home?  It doesn't take a mansion to make your dwelling beautiful in your eyes.  When your home is a haven filled with peace, love and acceptance, it is beautiful to you.

Creativity has a beauty that touches your innermost being.  Art, music and books all can reveal something beautiful to you. You might be the only one that "gets it," but the beauty speaks to you.

Words can be beautiful.  Nothing is more beautiful and satisfying than to hear, "I love you."

To me, the most beautiful of all is reading scripture and finding out how much I am loved.

I'm thankful for the creativity that God gave us to express beauty.

What is beautiful to you?

  1. I love you is the most beautiful thing to hear and say and write - thank you, jerralea for hosting and reminding!

  2. Gosh, my sweet sister. You caught me at a perfect moment: house clean, everything almost ready for the holidays, dogs playing in the sunshine (courtyard) and the house is still. Thanks for reminding me that this kind of beauty too is a gift from above.

  3. I missed this the first time around, so glad that you're sharing it. The most beautiful thing to me is my boys -- all together, loving each other (although that looks and sounds like chaos!), loving us!

  4. I especially appreciate and love nature :). A beautiful sunrise and gorgeous sunset form the perfect bookends to a day--if I get to see an animal or bird, even better :).
