Confront

Every once in awhile on your journey, you will have to confront a situation. Perhaps it is the enemy trying to bring you down and you have to rebuke him and go on.

Perhaps it is a situation where truth needs to be spoken. It's tough, but it is best to go on and speak the truth, being sure to do it in love.

Or sometimes you need to confront the fact that you have taken on too much. Such is the case with me and my #31Day challenge. Life has been so overwhelming during the month of October.

This year is my 5th year of doing the #31Day challenge. I've also done The A-Z Blog Challenge for three years, so writing every day on my blog is not a new thing for me.

However, this year is just different for me. More responsibilities, and perhaps less energy. *Smile.

So, the last week of the challenge I did very little. Since, I'm not a quitter, I will do the last prompts of the challenge (one of the prompts remaining speaks to me in a big way), I will just do them on my timetable.

God willing, there is always next year.

Thank you, readers, who still continue to read Jerralea's Journey. You are very special to me!

The Journey is our way Home. There is nothing more important than making that final destination. Jesus paid my ticket there, but I have to walk it out. In October, I will be observing the things that happen while traveling the Journey and writing a daily post about my observations.

Because I like to stretch myself, I will also do a challenge within a challenge - 31 days of 5 minute free writes. I will take a topic and run with it, writing furiously for 5 minutes, tailoring it to relate to my theme of examining life along the Journey.

If you are a subscriber, you will receive my #31Day posts each day. If you're not a subscriber, why not? Please go up to the Follow By Email box in the very top of the right column and enter in your email address. I don't want you to miss a thing!

You can also click
here each day and look at the bottom of this post. The link to the newest post will be there.

  1. You can't do everything, what would everyone else do? ;-)

I know what you mean. Sometimes...all the time for me.

  2. I have enjoyed following along on this journey with you...I admire your perseverance and commitment to your writing challenges...but I especially appreciate you being real about things and knowing when you need to be flexible with timetables and such...there are no set schedules in life, that is for sure!

  3. Good for you that you realized you were "over your head" and didn't keep pushing yourself but allowed yourself grace, knowing you will eventually finish the challenge at your own pace. I have enjoyed what you have written about the journey :)
