Weekly Wrap-Up & F.F.F.

It's Friday, lovely Friday!

I hope you've had a wonderful week.

Here in my part of the world, Vacation Bible School has been going on, which throws a kink in the schedule, but also adds fun to the workday.

1. I'm thankful people are still willing to work with kids in VBS! God bless them!

2. My visit to the hair stylist - It felt like for-evah since I been there, but actually it had only been a month.

3. Quote of the week that stepped on my toes ....

“If you’re on time you’re late.”
... Michelle DeRusha, seen on Emily Freeman's blog.

4. Naan pizzas - Ever make a pizza out of Naan bread? It's quick and easy. Assemble your favorite pizza ingredients on top of a Naan, pop in a 400° for 10 minutes, and Yum!

5. Today is payday, and I'm thankful. Sometimes, I just really need that to happen!

And just because I have no pics from this week, I thought I'd share this one from last week:

And so ends another week on the Journey. How did your week go? I'd love to know. Leave a comment or link up your own Friday's Fave Five post at Susanne's space, Living to Tell the Story

  1. Vacation Bible School is so rewarding, but can be so tiring for the volunteers! I remember helping out a few years back. I took the week off from work. I worked VBS in the morning and napped the afternoon away :)

  2. my 17 yr old has been volunteering since july 5 and it ends on july 29 for an inner city vbs/pool program in a city to the west of us. our church youth group buses teen volinteers over there for two out fo the 4 weeks and we get here there thenother weeks or she borrows one of our cars.cshe is loving it! these are children who live in extreme poverty so she sees alot of needs besides the spiritual. I am proud of her.

  3. That Naan pizza is a good idea. Haircuts and payday are both good. Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

  4. VBS was wonderful in my children's lives and I'm always very thankful for all those volunteers that it takes to run one of those! Totally relate to hair thing. It seems like overnight my hair goes from being okay to "I need my stylist right now!!" Yikes that quote is stomping on my toes. Ashamedly, it is a huge area for me that I absolutely have to work on.

  5. Since we moved a year ago, I STILL haven't found a good hair stylist. SO hard to find a good one! I drove 30 minutes to my previous one for a while, but then I tried going to one nearby...fail. So now I'm putting off going again.

  6. I'm lucky to have had a good stylist for some years now. Don't know what I'd do if she stopped working or moved away. Not sure I'm a lover of that quote because that means I'm always late, well definitely more often than not! Have a good week.

  8. We have VBS this week and this is the first year I'm not a group leader. Haven't been able to make it over there yet (veerrryyyy long commute), so I haven't seen what poor sod is trying to control the group of the rowdiest boys. I don't know if I'll feel bad or secretly pleased if they cannot control them.... (I have a gift. And a spray bottle full of water.)

    Beautiful photo!
