Daybook: 06.01.15

Another week that is going by so fast that a Monday post finally gets posted on Tuesday afternoon!

For Today... Monday, June 1st

Outside my window... very cool morning temps - in the upper 50s and a gray cloudy day.

I am thinking... of the challenge given this past Sunday morning, "Be a prayer warrior for your senators and congressmen." ... "Do battle every day for the kingdom by praying for your leaders."

I am thankful... for all my blessings - too many to list in one post.

I am wearing... jeans, a leopard print tank top with a peach cardi and leopard flats

I am reading... Max Lucado's "Fearless."  As you all know, I love any book by Max.

I'm excited, though, because I downloaded a book by Brennan Manning. I've heard such good things about his books. I'm looking forward to reading his thoughts.

In my garden... we planted half our containers on the porch. We hope to finish this weekend.  It's been raining. Every. Day.

In my kitchen... roast, potatoes and carrots in the crockpot. I love it on days when I can get up early enough to get dinner in the crockpot before work.

A favorite quote for today...

"This world is past the point of hungering after righteousness, we are now dying of (spiritual) thirst.  You see, you can go a long time without eating, but you can only go three days without water." Rev. Rick Parrish

It is so ironic that we live in a day where the Word is so accessible yet so many don't know or are unwilling to actually read it ...

A peek into one of our days...

High Chair Time

One of my favorite things... getting down on the floor and playing with the twins. I'm savoring every moment.

  3. I'm really bad about praying for government leaders; I'm trying to pray for the upcoming 2016 election and the candidates.

I always like a roast cooked in a crock pot!

  4. Good day to you! Thank you for sharing with us.... I love those little faces as they are eating in the high chairs. What precious twins! I am imagining your kitchen smelled delightful as that roast and veggies cooked. We are having that meal this Friday to celebrate our children finally getting out of a long year of school. That is such a great quote, too. Blessings to you and your family!
