FOR TODAY, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9th
Outside my window... another cool overcast morning ...
I am thankful... for God's word. I cling to His promises.
In the kitchen... I didn't get the Giant Empanada recipe done last week that I wanted to try after all, so tonight's the night!
I am wearing... purple jeans, coral top and a purple "statement" necklace. (Ever since my teenage days, I've loved shades of purple and orange together ...)
I am reading... Marta Perry's "The Forgiven," on my lunch hour, and Max Lucado's "Next Door Savior," at bedtime.
I am hoping ... to hear a lot of stories of answered prayer at my linkup, Testimonial Tuesday.

I am looking forward to... Saturday, the hubs and I will be going on a road-trip. We are going to a little bit different part of the state than where we normally go. We plan to visit a home and garden show and eat out.
Around the house... I finally put up the last of the snowmen decor.
A favorite quote for today...
Shari's words make me think of this acronym I once saw: B.U.S.Y. = Being Under Satan's Yoke.
One of my favorite things... free time.

A few plans for the rest of the week: some studying and blog-post writing. I'm also wanting to print out some new pics of the babies and update my photo album.
A peek into my day... because in February, I just NEED to look at a July lake picture:
Day is done ... at Ferne Clyffe Lake, IL ... I feel like Taps should be played! |
I have my post ready for tomorrow! Looking forward to joining in.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, we are 38 days to spring and I can hardly contain myself after this weekend!
Have a fun road trip! Hope your week is a good one!
ReplyDeleteOur high school colors are purple and orange (with blue now that we have new school in our coop) so we wear alot of purple and orange around here! I agree with the BUSY acronym. He has his ways of way of sneaking in. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing a picture of the lake in July, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd printing out pictures of the grandbabies...awesome!
Where would we be without God's Word and His promises held within. We would be one miserable bunch of people.
I enjoyed my time here, as always, Jerralea.
Thought provoking quote by Shari Shepherd! The devil does like to distract us from God.
ReplyDeleteLove Taps--and all its lyrics! Nice photo at the end of your post. Sounds like you have an interesting link-up. I'll have to take a look. Glad to meet you in the blogging-world!
How fun to plan for the day trip this weekend :)

That's a great colour combo. I also love turquoise and tangerine together. :) Popping in from the Simple Woman linky party :)
ReplyDeleteThat quote is definitely something to think about! Ouch.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that day trip!
