F.F.F. - 10.31.14

It's a blustery day here in the heartland of America.  Time to cozy up inside and think about the blessings that have came my way.

1. October has drawn to a close and so has my blogging series, 31 Days of Life on the Journey. I've enjoyed the memories I have drawn upon to write my little vignettes of life. It's been fun, but I'm glad it's done. Time to go on to other things. The Thanksgiving season is upon us and I love to spend November thinking of all the blessings I have been given. So, come back in November and count gifts with me.

2.  I'm so glad I have a routine to slip back into after my week off. It was pretty painless except for the huge stack of account payables that had to be dealt with and mailed.

3.  I've been devouring the book, "Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good," by Jan Karon on my lunch hours this week. I just love visiting Mitford via Jan Karon!

4. What is it about these cuties that make me smile every time I see their photos?

God has been so good to our family with gifting us with these two lovable angels.

5.  Quote of the week:  I love Priscilla Shirer's words about the story of Ruth in the bible:

"If God can use  a woman who was grief-stricken, displaced, destitute, and seemingly hopeless to be the ancestor of the holy Messiah, then He can also use you and me."

And so wraps up another week of the Journey.  How did your week go? Leave a comment and share, or consider linking up at Susanne's "Living to Tell the Story," and tell us all about your week.

Jerralea, it is hard to believe that your sweet little angels are that big already! Oh my goodness! They are both CUTIE PIES!

I'm glad that going back to work was rather painless. Those account payables do tend to stack up. ;)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I have enjoyed your memory lane as well. I feel I have gotten to know you a little better each day. I am on book to of Mitford and I plan to finish the entire series early this next year. I am picking 5 authors I really like and reading as much of them as possible.
What adorable grands you have! so squeezable!
Thanks for sharing their smiles with us!

Love that quote! So encouraging. I really need to sit down and read the whole Mitford series. I think I read one when I was a young adult.

I have enjoyed your 31 day posts. You really have an exceptional way of expressing your thoughts! Your little grands are just growing like weeds! I've read a couple Mitford books. Very good. I found Jan Karon because she had been recommended in an online article saying that if you loved Miss Read (my favorite author), you would enjoy Jan Karon. Have a blessed weekend.

I loved that book! I just finished it a week or two ago.

I enjoyed the 31 Days challenge, too, but I am glad it is over. :-) I'm looking forward to getting back to my "regular programming" and not feeling like I have to write every day. I am not sure if I will do this again next year, but if I do I am going to pick something that I can make shorter posts of.

I'm glad that getting back into the office was relatively painless.

Your grandkids are cute!

What a great idea, Jerralea! I began a daily Thanksgiving post yesterday but I'm tempted to join you all with this! Your cuties are getting cuter and cuter every day! If that is possible! Have a blessed Sunday.

Wow, I love that quote about Ruth! And of course, any twin photos will make us all happy :)

I'm glad your transition back to work was easy.
