Daybook: 10.20.14

FOR TODAY, Monday, October 20th

Outside my window... a cool partly sunny day

I am thinking...of all the things I want to accomplish this week

I am thankful...for the week off to spend at home

In the kitchen...bbq chicken tonight, but I'm planning on cooking chicken ahead and freezing it, also going to make a couple batches of dumplings for the freezer.  I want to try Edie's recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and Christy's recipe for Tomato-less Rustic Beef Stew There could be all kinds of things made this week ...

I am wearing... my comfy faded jeans and a lime green T.

I am creating...a linen closet that will also be a wrapping paper station, paper goods supply closet and a place to store all my seasonal vases and candlesticks ... It's going to take a lot of creativity.  Oh yeah, I'm going to hang a shoe organizer on the door for all my scarves, as well. It will be a multi-purpose closet. Hoping to make it pretty!

I am going...to stay home as much as possible except for a couple little road trips to find fall foliage.

I am reading... 1 Peter 4 for a bible study.  No time for books this week.

I am looking forward to... every day this week!

Around the house...I'm fluffing my nest.

A favorite quote for today... another classic from Max:

"The Christ of the galaxies is the Christ of your Mondays" (Mocha with Max, page 92)

There you go, all you Daybookers.  As you plan your week, ask the creative maker of the galaxies to guide your week as well.

One of my favorite things... being home - as if you didn't know!

A few plans for the rest of the week: I made my usual stay-cation list of projects but I purposefully did not make it as long as usual.  Here's to stopping for more fun in my days ...

A peek into my day...
