Daybook: 10-13-14

FOR TODAY, Monday, October 13th

Outside my window... rainy skies, 68°

I am thinking... about the movie shown at church last night:  "God's Not Dead."  I really enjoyed it.  I wonder how many professors try to squelch their students' beliefs in God as the movie portrayed.  I believe it because I had a high school science teacher who loved to debate Christian students against non Christian.  He didn't go as far as the professor in the movie but it was definitely uncomfortable.  

I am thankful... my full-time pastor's thyroid surgery went very well today.  I'm praying for a quick healing for him.

In the kitchen... chicken and rice today, and there is plenty of left-over taco soup to snack on this week.

I am wearing... dress jeans and a blue and black printed sparkly flowing top with black flats.

I am creating...an organized linen closet; hopefully, to be accomplished next week. This week I'm planning containers for it.

I am reading... "Poison Town," book 2 of the Crittendon Files by Creston Mapes. And I'm re-reading "Mocha with Max" by Max Lucado. It's so good, I can't. Let. It. Go.

I am looking forward to... next week, my second stay-cation week.

Around the house...I feel like one of my collage walls is complete.  I'm posting a picture below.

A few plans for the rest of the week: working on 1 Peter 4 for next week's bible study and getting ready for a board meeting.

A peek into my day...

My collage wall in my home office.  I see that the ICQJC 24/7 sign is a tad crooked, but I am going along with the Nester who says, "It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful."
