Daybook: 04.07.14

FOR TODAY, Monday, April 7
Outside my window... a rainy morning in the 40s.
I am thinking... I feel chilly today.  This time of year, it is hard to know how to dress.
I am thankful...that I have choices.  I have more than one outfit to wear.  Sometimes I make the wrong choice and then feel uncomfortable all day, but at least I know I don't have to wear it again tomorrow!
In the kitchen... chicken and rice
I am wearing... purple jeans and a multicolored tunic, black cami and flats
I am creating... blog posts from A-Z.
I am going...to be off Friday for a day with my girl.
I am reading... Grace Unplugged by Melody Carlson.  Actually, I just finished it.  I loved the ending..
I am looking forward to...my Janae coming home - this week!
I am learning how awesome grace is!
Around the house...things look the same.  I have NOT put out anything spring-like yet.
A favorite quote for today...remembering a blast from the past:  Janae telling her little sister in a sad little voice, "Lia, I'm sorry you got my chickens!"  (chicken pox)  I'll never forget that.
One of my favorite things...  home tours on different blogs.  I love seeing how others decorate.

A few plans for the rest of the week: visiting with my daughter.
A peek into my day...

Soon Janae and I will be together again

The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. I am looking forward to more consistent weather. I need to go back and catch up on your A-Z posts. I always enjoy your writing. I am fotunate to have my girl close by. I don't know what I would do if she were not close to home. I don't have anything spring out either. I am doing good just keeping up with the regular cleaning and laundry. :) Enjoyed stopping by today, as usual!

  3. I hope you have or will enjoy time with your daughter. Maybe just find one little spring flower for your home to bring a smile to your face. Happy blogging.
