Simple Journey

The simple things ....are the best things ... and, usually don't cost money.

They are out-right gifts from God.

Like sunrises

and sunsets....

or maybe just a day when the sunbeams dancing on the water lifts your heart ....

These gifts are free to all - to anyone who has eyes to see.

Why, He even made the middle of the nights beautiful!

Besides the simple beauties of nature, I cherish the simple joys of home. Home does not have to be a palace.  A cozy place to retreat at the end of the day is such a blessing. It doesn't have to be filled with expensive objects.  I find a clean fragrant home that has a few of my favorite possessions in it such as books and photos of loved ones and happy places visited - why this is heaven on earth.

If you are blessed to share it with family and friends, it is even more a sanctuary from the trials of this world.

If you have no one, pray about it.  God's word says that He sets the solitary in families.  There are those who need you just as much as you need them!

I also love the simple joy of feeling purpose.  I find that purpose in my job and the ministries to which I'm called.

There is a place for you, too.  We live in a world of need and there is a spot only you can fill.  And when you do?  It brings joy to your heart.

You see, life is a journey.  As you travel down your path of life, look for the simple things to bring you lasting joy.  Beauty, peace, shelter, friends and family, work only you can contribute - these are the things that make your journey joyous.

Most of all, it helps to have One who knows the Way ...

Amazing post. Your writing always makes me feel like I am reading the most heartfelt journal entry. I enjoyed your beautiful words- and beautiful photos- especially what you wrote about cherishing home.

Blessings! Have a wonderful rest of the week :)
