Daybook: 01.13.14

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, JANUARY 13

Outside my window...
a gray day

I am thinking... of my 2014 goals.  Are they doable, yet set high enough to stretch me?

I am thankful... for a great 2013.

In the kitchen... pork steaks marinating for the broiler tonight.

I am wearing... purple jeans with purple ombre tank with silver trim and a gray cardi and black boots.

I am creating... S.O.A.P. tables for 1 Peter

I am reading... 1 Peter and "Stones for Bread," by Christa Parrish

I am looking forward to... an even greater 2014.

I am learning to make myself do certain things by just doing it and not endlessly debating with myself.  The longer I put off something unpleasant, the more likely I won't do it.

Around the house... there is peace and a relaxed atmosphere.  I keep the clutter in control and there is plenty of candlelight and good scents filling the air.

I am pondering... the way some who profess Christ treat others... Do they realize they will give account some day for their actions?

A favorite quote for today...

"If you live in the past, you'll ruin your future."  My pastor, Travis Schroeder.
One of my favorite things...Halo tangerines ... so sweet!

A few plans for the rest of the week: this week is a busy one - Wednesday church; Thursday board meeting; Friday Fellowship of Churches; Saturday choir practice.

A peek into my day...

The beginning of many favorite meals.
