It's late Friday before this will be posted, but I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on my week. Time slips away if you are not intentional about remembering the good things!
1. This past weekend was wonderful with time spent with family. It was the end of my mother's visit and my sister, brother-in-law and nephew came to pick her up and transport her back to Florida. We had a wonderful time visiting, going out to eat and seeing a little of the countryside. I had to take them to my favorite place, Bald Knob Cross!
Here they are - at the foot of the cross
I've shared pics of the cross many times - here is my latest.
2. Worship Sunday night was so moving and an added pick-me-up from the busy-ness of my life. I am always thankful when the presence of the Lord is so strong.
3. Inspiration for my new 31 days series, Basics for Believers. I love to write about God's word. I can't get enough.
4. I had my favorite BBQ chicken thighs. I count that as my most favorite meal I make.
5. Quote of the week:
I believe the world we live in is
broken and that this side of heaven we’re not going to have solved for all
the hard and wounding decisions that being human requires."
... Lisa-Jo Baker, The one where I'm a working mom.
It's okay not to have all the answers, that is where trust comes in. The great thing is I know the One that does know the answer.
And so ends another week on the Journey. How was your week? Would you like to link up and share? Visit Susanne's blog, Living to Tell the Story to join the group!
Oh I just loved reading your faves...especially that last one. And what. A beautiful cross!!! Is that someplace near where you live??? I love it. God DOES have all the answers.....I could not do this life without my Savior. I will have to come back here and check out our Believers basics writings....I love writing and reading about God's Word, too! Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for the nice words about my psalms thru photos post. That pic you liked is from the beach house on cape cod where my in laws live.
ReplyDeleteIt IS ok not to have all the answers, but it does take us control freaks a good, long while to get that concept!
