F.F.F - August 2, 2013

TGIF!

Again, I say, TGIF!

This week has brought a mix of things both good and bad, yet I choose to focus on the good things!

1.  Back when we went through the flood in 2011, the top of our table got damaged.  We just started using tablecloths and didn't worry about it.  Over time, those tablecloths got on our nerves (especially on my husband's nerves).  So this week, we found a new (to us) table that we liked.  I wasn't crazy about the chairs, but the table is Ethan Allan and very big and sturdy - it has two leaves! So we bought it.

2. Actually, my goal was to have upholstered chairs to go with a dining table.  Would you believe it?  The very next day after we brought the table home, my husband saw online the chairs I've been wanting for the unbelievable price of $50 for 6 chairs! They need a little upholstery cleaner, but they are in really good shape.

Love!

3.  A lot of you may read her blog already, but this blog, Lifeingrace, has been blessing me this week.  Click on the link to go to Edie's blog and be encouraged!

4.  Last Saturday, we had a wonderful evening sitting out by Brenda's pool for our Ladies' Fellowship.  It's always good to get together and lift each other up.

5.  Quote of the Week:

Oh taste and see that The Lord is good! His Love is unending for you! Don't be afraid to ask Him for help! He longs to provide for you!
… seen on twitter

It's so awesome to realize He wants to help. Don't try to do things on your own.  Ask Him for what you need! He is our healer, our provider and our avenger.  Put it all in His hands.

Well, that wraps up another week on the Journey.  If you'd like to share the highlights of YOUR week, leave a comment .

  1. It's good to focus on the good things -- plenty of time for dealing the difficult things!

Congrats on your new table and instant new chairs -- hurrah! A wonderful example of God providing for you.
