F.F.F.- 07.19.13

What another beautiful summer Friday!  I'm looking forward to a great weekend, yet looking back on my blessings in this past week:

1.  I finished week 11 of my Walk Away the Pounds exercise program.  Trust me, for non-athletic me, this is a big deal.

2.  Last Saturday, after a great day of yard sales and choir practice, Jim and I made it up to to our favorite lake for a little late afternoon to sunset relaxing under the trees.

3.  This week, I was excited to receive inspiration for a post  that I decided to write as a fiction piece.  The Man and The Boy went over well and I was happy to share a truth I had learned.

4.  I read a great book this week.  "Unwritten," by Charles Martin.  This book appealed to me because I have long been fascinated with secret identities.  People are not always who they seem to be!  I'll say no more in case you would like to read it.

5 Quote of the week:  Today, I'm sharing a quote from my May archive of quotes. This quote is talking about Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; ..."

This is the blessing that is the inheritance for every son and daughter of the Father of Lights. His goodness and His mercy will run after us, chase us and pursue us... all the days of our life!   … Barry Adams at Fatherheart.tv 5/16/13

What a blessing!

And so, another week on the Journey has ended.  What did your week look like?

  1. YAY for finishing the program! That's awesome Jerralea!

I loved that story you shared on your blog this week. It was very touching.

Oh and my brother figured out the share buttons for me. Thank you for helping too.

  2. Good job finishing the program!! Being consistent is often the hardest part of staying (or getting) in shape! I love being able to take some time out to enjoy the sunset.

  3. Unwritten is waiting for me at the library -- tell me no more. I love Charles Martin. Have you read his other novels? They're wonderful.

    11 weeks? That's GREAT!

Have a great week ahead, Jerralea!

  4. I finished Unwritten last week too! Loved it. As with most of that author's books, I had trouble starting another book because his stories just keep rolling around in my head. Have you read "The Mountain Between Us" or "Wrapped in Rain"?

  6. Thanks for recommending the book, Unwritten. I went to Amazon to read other reviews too. I am going to get the Kindle version for when I have two 14 hour flights (in a few weeks).

It is probably safe to say that you are now an athlete. 11 weeks active is a BIG deal. congrats, Jerralea.

Thanks for telling us about your The Man and The Boy story. I learned something I will use this week. :)

  7. Ohhh, another book! It seems many of us FFFers are posting about books this week.
Isn't it sweet to get away for a quick 'nature fix' after a busy day?
    Have a great weekend!
