Made for Each Other

Married 37 years ago
1.) My granny fixed me up with my hubby. It's true.  I was visiting her on my vacation and she
told me about this boy she wanted me to meet.  She said  he was the brother to one of my cousin's friends. I told her I certainly didn't want to meet one of his friends, but that there was a cute guy leading the worship at her church that I wouldn't mind meeting.

"That's the one I'm telling you about," she said excitedly.

The rest is history.

2.) My hubby and I were long distance sweethearts.  He lived in Illinois and I lived in Florida. When we decided to go "steady," (or be "in a relationship," as facebook calls it), he mailed me his class ring.

3.)  We've been married for 37 years in spite of the fact that he is a night owl and I'm an early bird.  Opposites DO attract.

4.) My mother was best friend with my hubby's aunt when growing up, and my husband's mother was best friends with my aunt. Therefore, my mom and his mom often spent the night at each other's houses. Who knew their children would grow up to get married?

5.)  My husband and I never remember meeting each other until we were aged 19.

6.)  We met the first week of June and married the first week of February, a span of 7 months.  Three of those months we lived 900 miles apart.  We do believe in love at first sight IF you've prayed about it and feel like it is God's will.
