But let's reflect on this last week:
1. Saturday was a great day because I went yard saling, DID NOT have to do worship team practice (we are having practice every other week now) and then went on a road trip. It all added up to a perfect day, in my book. I've shared a lot of photos from this trip already this week, but here are a few more:
Hitting the Nature Trail |
Large Fungi |
Fallen Tree, Cut in Two, Other Half on Other Side of the Trail |
Oakwood Bottoms |
Path to the Creek |
Johnson Creek |
3. New do: I was informed by my hair stylist that it was time to update my style. She said, "I know you don't want to look "dated" !!!! Although this requires a lot of "paste" and scrunching, which I find very curious - who thought this up? - it's working out well. Today is day 3 and I managed to fix my hair in the 5 minutes I allot for this chore every day. Once I get this new beauty routine perfected, I'll get a photo and show it off.
4. Walk Away the Pounds Update: I made it every day through week 8, although I have to be honest there were two days I. Seriously. Wanted. To. Quit. So far, I've lost 10 pounds, which I'm very happy about, but I have a long way to go. It did give me the strength to go ahead and work out those two days, though.
5. Quote of the week:
"You'll never realize Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you've got." --Mother Teresa
He is all I need!
And so ends another week on the Journey. What happened in your week? Why not link up with Susanne at Living to Tell the Story and share?

Jerralea, your faithful exercise update every week has been encouraging for me to read and a kick in the pants too. Hurray for your steadfastness, loss of weight, and gained strength!!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what hair paste is and I look forward to seeing your new do. 5 minutes is what I like to alot to my hair routine too. Getting an updated look sounds like a great lift to one's spirits.
You're an encouragement in the stick to the plan department! I have been so unmotivated since my injury in January to get back to a regular fitness routine, but reading your progress motivates me to keep going.
ReplyDelete5 minutes for a morning hair routine is one of my requirements whenever I get something different too. My hairdresser probably thinks I'm dated too.
Nothing quite like a new "do" to make your day brighter. 5 minutes isn't bad at all.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job w/your walking. I need to get back to it, too. Maybe next week...
I love it that you get out to enjoy the beauties of your surroundings :-) Hope that your mother enjoys her new home with fewer responsibilities. And congrats on your new "do" and minus-ten-pounds :-)
