Daybook-06.17.13

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, JUNE 17TH

Outside my window...
warm summer day, we are supposed to have thunderstorms ...

I am thinking... of a sweet memory of my Janae.  A mother loves to look back on her memories!

I am thankful...for a husband who always helps me whenever I need him.

In the kitchen... not sure yet ... if the a/c is not fixed by dinnertime, my choices will be limited to something that does not require cooking with HEAT

I am wearing...turquoise maxi skirt, black top and black sandals turquoise necklace

I am wondering... what would be a good road trip for Saturday - no worship team practice so more time for a ride!

I am reading..."Grounded" by Neta and Dave Jackson (authors of the Yada, Yada series)

I am hoping... for cooler weather ... I am not a fan of hot temps.

I am looking forward to...my next road trip.  I always have such a fun relaxing time.

I am learning...how attached I am to modern conveniences.

Around the house... we're waiting on round 2 of our knock-out roses to bloom ... we are also waiting on a part for our air conditioner. May it come quickly, Lord Jesus!

I am pondering...topics for my Fearless posts.

A favorite quote for today...

"Refuse to be average. Let your heart soar as high as it will." A.W. Tozer

Often, just putting forth a little more effort takes you far beyond what the average person does.

One of my favorite things... cool breezes

A few plans for the rest of the week: getting ready for board meeting Thurs. night

A peek into my day...

  1. What a beautiful sunset!!

I pray your a/c is fixed very soon... ours was out recently, too, and it really is tough and makes you appreciate it so much more.

    Have a blessed day :)

Keep cool in those breezes, Jerralea :)

    Peace in Christ,

  3. it seems like we just skipped right over spring and landed in extreme hot and humid summer temps! My garden looks wonderful though. I too am too hooked on my modern conveniences. What I would do without the microwave somedays or the washer (I can live without the dry, I love the clothes line). Hope your roses bloom more beautiful than ever for you!
