Snow Day

Typical Snow Day in My Neck of the Woods

My idea of a perfect snow day would be, of course, to be snowbound.  Home, with nothing pressing to do, is where I'd want to be.

Home, dressed in comfy clothes, hanging out in this spot:

My idea of a good time at home on a cold winter's day would also have to include
  • Candles flickering
  • Cozy throw or afghan
  • Cup of hot tea
  • Some kind of munchies - maybe some cheddar-flavored Chex Mix
  • Laptop
  • DVR playing recordings of Jeopardy and my favorite reality shows such as What Not To Wear, Duck Dynasty (Happy, Happy, Happy), and Storage Wars (The California location of Storage Wars.  Yuuup! But I hear Dave Hester is gone from that show ... Say it isn't so!)
  • If there were chili or Santa Fe soup, or maybe Sausage and Tortellini soup in the crockpot, so much the better!
But most of all, there would have to be ... ELECTRICITY!

  1. That sounds heavenly! Of course, someone else would have to make the soup for me to really appreciate it. Why not make it a day of pampering as well?

  2. I so agree!

Here in the Northeast, we had a visit from "Nemo" last week and I loved the time being home as the snow built a wall against the outside world.

Hopefully, there will be one more wonderful blast of Winter to look forward to in the coming weeks!

  4. Sounds like a lovely day :)

Yes, Hester is gone from Storage Wars. He's suing the producers and claiming that the show is faked *gasp! as if we didn't know already*

  5. Now that I live in SoCal, I don't miss the snow, but I do miss snow days. There is nothing cozier than curling up with a good book in front of a roaring fire. I agree that electricity is key though!
