F.F.F.-02.01.13

Have you had things in your week that make you smile? If so, Fridays are a good time to stop and reflect.  We all know times goes by in a blur - don't let your week slip away!

1.  Last Friday, we went out with friends to celebrate my birthday.  We had a wonderful time, eating together at my fave restaurant, O'Charley's, and then going to a concert by Jeff and Sheri Easter.  I just love Jeff and Sheri.  My husband bought one of their CDs, Eyes Wide Open, and I have been listening to it all week.  There is a love song on the CD that just makes me happy to hear it, "Sitting On Top Of The World."

2.  I already mentioned this on my Daybook, but I love getting fresh flowers.  Here is another photo of the pink roses my hubby gave me for my birthday.

3.  I also have a love for anything animal print.  I received a nice furry cheetah throw to add to my collection:

4.  I had a day off on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed staying home and doing some organizing.  I streamlined my counter-top and organized a couple of drawers in the kitchen.  It's crazy how something so simple can make me feel so good.  I love me some clutter-free zones!

5.  Quote of the week:

Day 8 - God Rewards Your Quiet Time With Him
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6
… brought to me by Bible Promises Devotional

This just struck me – spending time in secret prayer means God will reward me!  You can earn rewards from companies by doing certain things – viewing websites, participating in surveys, spending certain amounts of money, but I can also earn a reward from God.  Just be sure no one knows, and be sure that your motive in spending time with God is not just to get something.

  1. I like that "reward reminder." And I like clutter-free zones, too -- just don't have them often enough in the school year.

Love those pink roses. They're my favorite, too. Hope you had a great birthday!

  4. I love getting things streamlined and organized. Such a refreshing feeling.

I almost bought some fresh flowers the other day. I don't do that often, but it's especially nice during the winter months to have a splash of something live and colorful.

A belated happy birthday to you! Your outing sounds fun!

  5. Happy Birthday! What lovely roses and a new cozy throw in a pattern you love are awesome gifts.

I always love when I get to clearing off counter tops and organizing a cupboard. I just wish I could keep them that way!
